Inspiration is the Byproduct of Failure

Being a creative person involves failing a lot. Learning how to overcome the frustration that accompanies that failure is a large part of progressing as an artist and advancing your craft.
When seeking inspiration, be open to all possibilities and accept that failure is a very likely outcome. It may feel as though you are wasting time, but personal exploration is the only way to iterate on your knowledge.
Reading books, attending classes, and watching videos can help offer signposts in your quest to improve, but without investing the time and effort into actually trying and failing, that knowledge is wasted potential in your journey.
TL;DR: You can’t get inspired if you don’t try. You will fail a lot. Learning is important, but doing is more so.
