Friday. Vegas. Conference rooms. Editors. Only one week. How bad can it really be?
I can’t decide which is worse: getting sick or the winter storm that just hit us.
I’m three chapters into a novel. Each chapter is about 2,200 words, plus or minus. (A little more on the plus side.)
Going forward, I think this will be fair to a reader’s expectations. You, the reader, are who really matters.
This story starts off fast and only continues to build tension and, finally, horror. The book is really two stories, a backstory remembered and current events. But everything comes together for the main character, Malorie, at the end for a satisfying conclusion.
Like much of Daphne du Maurier’s work, a supernatural element weaves through each story. You may have heard of Rebecca or The Birds. But have you read The House on the Strand? Allow Ian Richardson’s narration to transport you back in time…
Three new short stories: A horror, a supernatural, and a sci-fi. The book will be available in print, ebook, and audio format. I expect the print publication to be available sometime in November.
