This story starts off fast and only continues to build tension and, finally, horror. The book is really two stories, a backstory remembered and current events. But everything comes together for the main character, Malorie, at the end for a satisfying conclusion.
I don’t typically write book reviews as I feel that there are others who do it better. But I just finished reading Patrick Rothfuss’ book The Name of the Wind. It’s a good read.
The Branches of Time is a fantasy rippling in a storming sexual undertow. Magical mayhem and physical conflict crash down on the main characters from the very start of the book. The plot ebbs and flows quickly. So be prepared.
